Swakara finds new level at April ’09 Sale in Copenhagen

A total of 64,874 Swakara pelts sold 100% at Kopenhagen Fur on the 3rd of April. This offering consisted of 62,221 black, 1,281 white, 847 spotted and 525 Coloured C.

After a cold start, a level was found and bidding was competitive. Twenty-nine buyers managed to secure goods, with Yoshitake Ninomiya emerging once again as the top buyer. Close in pursuit were: Carlo Guida Ltd, Fureco, Astropel S.A., and China Fur Commodities Co. Ltd.

The market level softened by -27% over last September. An auction average of DKK 191.45, € 25.65 was achieved.  

Top Lot
The top lot of 63 pelts, D Light Selected Extra sold for DKK 1,000. This was bought by Morisco Intl S.A. from Luxembourg for Oleg and Liana Dudenko from the Ukraine.
