Swakara September Auction. Sold in Copenhagen on the 9th of September 2008

A total of 54,660 Swakara pelts sold 100%. This offering consisted of 44,506 black, 5,725 grey, 3,425 white, 183 brown, plus 535 spotted and 286 sundry coloured.

Twenty-three customers took an active role in the buying. Once again, Yoshitake Ninomiya from Japan emerged as the top buyer.

The auction average of DDK 264.37 was achieved. The Black average of DDK 257.16 represented an increase of 2.87 over April’s average of DDK 252.78. There was good demand for Grey Swakara that brought an average price of DDK 251.36

Top Lot
D Flat Selected was chosen as the top lot, and this received DKK 550.00 for 120 pelts. This was bought by Klondike for his customer Sergey Polikov from Moscow. The commercial grades sold strongly, bolstered by the healthier Russian market, while the higher-value grades saw less competition.
