Swakara is sorted at the Pelt Centre in Namibia’s capitol city Windhoek. Classification for curl type, and quality grading, produce collections that have earned Swakara a name for consistency and quality. Swakara is the only fur type sorted outside Denmark to bear the prestigious Kopenhagen Fur quality labels.

A Kopenhagen Quality label is an assurance of quality. Not all Swakara is created equal, only those pelts which are in balance, in terms of fibre length and quality, and without defects, are awarded these coveted labels.

All Swakara is sold exclusively through our selling partners, Kopenhagen Fur. At present we offer two collections per year, in April, and September. Black and white Swakara are offered at each auction, while Grey is only offered once a year in September due to smaller quantities. Brown Swakara is sold by contract.
